The first Christmas carols in the park behind Merewether Uniting was held in 2015. This has become an annual event on the first Sunday in December with Adamstown and New Lambton Uniting Churches joining Merewether Uniting in co-hosting this community event. This event has quickly grown to over 100 people gathering to picnic, sing, share food and conversation and wish each other well at this special time of year.
