Community Kitchen Singers- community singing group

DSC_0083 Group singing is one thing in life where feeling better is pretty much guaranteed. It is cheaper than therapy, healthier than drinking, and more fun than working out. Music – the “universal language” not only stirs our deepest emotions, but active participation can increase energy to see us through even the most stress-filled moments of life. Singing increases self-esteem, strengthens concentration and memory, develops the lungs and improves posture and sleep. Singing animates the body, mind and spirit. It is therapeutic both emotionally and physically and is an ageless enjoyment – you are never too young or too old and no prior skill is needed. .

Everyone is welcome to come to sing on Tuesdays February to December, from 4.30pm at 178 Glebe Rd, Merewether during school term This is a time for singing, enjoyment and meeting new people. Give it a try! Stay afterwards if you’d like and share the free meal at The Community Kitchen at 6pm.
